Shooting at the Grand Hyatt

The Grand Hyatt Denver sits at 17th and Welton, two blocks from the 16th Street Mall, with about 52,600 square feet of meeting space. The Colorado Ballroom is the largest room at roughly 8,400 square feet, with the Mount Sopris and other breakout rooms around it. The property’s signature space is the Pinnacle Club on the 38th floor of the adjoining tower, the highest indoor event venue in Denver, with windows on downtown and the Front Range.

For video that means two very different shooting environments in one building. The ballroom is stage-lit and straightforward for multi-camera keynote capture. The Pinnacle Club is bright, glass-walled and changes by the hour as the light moves, so we shoot it with cameras that hold the view and the room at the same time and schedule interviews for the light rather than the agenda. We coordinate with the hotel’s AV team for a house feed and run our own wireless mics as backup.

Yes. It is one of the best-looking rooms in Denver on camera. We plan around sunset so the reel gets both the daylight view and the city lights, and we keep the crew small so it doesn’t crowd the room.

Yes. We take a clean audio feed from the house system whenever it is available and run our own wireless mics as backup. We coordinate directly with the AV lead before the event.

Rush delivery is possible when it is planned at booking. A 48 hour turnaround has been done. Individual session edits follow on a normal timeline.
