Talk about puppy love! Celebrity dogs and Instagram sensations Toast (@ToastMeetsWorld), owned by Josh Ostrovsky (@TheFatJewish), and Finn (@FriendsOfFinn), owned by Amanda Hearst (@AmandaHearst), tied the knot last Wednesday in the Refectory of New York City’s High Line Hotel. The adorable and star-studded event was officiated by gossip columnist Cindy Adams while Simon Doonan, creative ambassador for Barney’s, had the honor of walking the bride down the aisle. BRIDES went behind the scenes of Toast and Finn’s big day and asked Between Sleep and Awake to capture every special moment of their wintry nuptials.

Toast, the bride, got ready for her walk down the aisle with the help of Canine Styles, her mother, Katie Sturino (@The12ishStyle), and sisters, Muppet and Pants. Once she was ready for her I do’s, she slipped into a custom-made Marchesa wedding dress and veil, complete with a ruffled skirt and embellished bodice. And since every bride needs some sparkle, Toast wore a diamond necklace from London Jewelers in lieu of a traditional engagement ring. The groom, Finn, looked dapper in a mini tux and top hat as he got ready with his mom, Amanda. During the couple’s first look, the pair nibbled on a pretzel to ease any pre-wedding jitters.

Once it came time for the ceremony, Toast and Finn’s hilarious officiant took her place at the head of the aisle while Doonan, Toast’s godfather, carried the bride down the aisle as a stand-in for her dad. The pair exchanged touching vows, in which they promised to share the couch and their treats, before Cindy asked the fellow dogs in attendance to “bark now or forever hold your pee” if they had any objections to the nuptials.

The celebration closed out with cake cutting and toasts, before the guests mingled with both canine and human guests, including model Lindsay Ellingson and her pup Carly the Cockapoo and Real Housewife of New York Carole Radziwill and her dog Baby (@TheRealBabyDog). There, guests sipped signature cocktails and had the opportunity to donate to the couple’s Zola registry, where proceeds went to National Mill Dog Rescue, a charity that aims to put an end to inhumane puppy mills.
