The Same Crew, Wherever the Shoot Is
Most companies that claim statewide Colorado coverage are booking networks. With them you hire a name, and a freelancer you have never spoken to shows up at your venue. It works until it does not, and you find out which on the day of your event.
Autumn Leaves Video Productions is one crew based in Denver. The people who scope your project are the people who show up on site, which matters most on multi-day events.
We have filmed across Colorado since 2015 for organizations including Google and the Lowe’s Foundation, and we travel nationwide when the project calls for it. Fully insured, certificates available for any venue that requires one.

Where We Film in Colorado
Four regions, one crew, one quote. Cities with a link have their own page covering what is specific about filming there.
Northern Colorado
An easy drive up I-25. Same-day work, no overnight needed.
Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Longmont, Windsor, Estes Park, Berthoud
Southern Colorado
Regular territory, though airspace and permits get complicated down here due to the multiple military schools, training sites and bases in the area.
Colorado Springs, Monument, Pueblo, Fountain, Manitou Springs, Trinidad
Mountains & Western Slope
Resort conferences, retreats, and property work. Usually a travel day on one or both ends.
What We Produce

What Changes Once You Leave the Metro
Filming in Telluride is not filming in Denver with a longer drive. Three things actually change, and all three are planning problems rather than filming problems.
The Rules Change by City
Colorado has no statewide preemption on local drone ordinances, so every city and county layers its own rules on top of the federal ones. Boulder bans drone operation on Open Space and Mountain Parks land. Colorado Springs requires written consent plus a commercial film permit for city parks, and Garden of the Gods is tighter again. National parks prohibit drones outright.
We check the specific location and the calendar before the shoot date. That is also why we never promise aerial footage in advance, no matter how good the view is.
Altitude and Weather Are Schedule Problems
Afternoon storms are routine at elevation in summer, passes close in winter, and drones have less margin in thin air and wind. None of that is exotic, it just means the schedule needs slack in it.
We front-load the priority shots and keep a fallback for anything weather dependent, rather than scheduling the one irreplaceable shot for four in the afternoon in July.
Venues Want Paperwork
Resorts, convention centers, university buildings, and municipal film offices all have their own insurance wording. Some want the city named as additional insured, some want the venue, some want both and a specific coverage minimum.
Send us their exact requirements as early as you can. This is the item most likely to hold up a shoot, and it is entirely avoidable with some notice.
How Travel Gets Quoted
Travel is its own line on the quote. You should be able to see exactly what the distance is costing you, and decide whether a different date or a fuller shot list makes the trip worth it.
For single day work filming along the Front Range from Fort Collins down to Colorado Springs is normally a same-day drive with no overnight. Mountain towns and the Western Slope usually need lodging and a travel day on one or both ends, and we say so during scoping rather than after you have signed.
Corporate, conference, and event work generally runs $800 to $4,000 per day for filming and post production work before travel, depending on the factors listed here. Payment is 50% at booking and 50% after filming.
What moves the number
- Hours on site and number of days
- Number of cameras and operators
- Number of interviews or speakers
- How many finished videos you need
- Distance, lodging, and travel days
- Drone coverage, plus any permit or authorization
- Vertical social reels as an add on
- Turnaround speed and delivery date
Weddings are the exception and do have published package pricing
