As soon as Yubeth agreed to join a friend and her husband on a vacation in Hawaii, the fashion model wasted no time in jumping on a flight from her home in Tokyo to the island oasis. Little did she know, her pal’s husband had invited a friend along too, and when Yubeth and Dennis first locked eyes on August 10, 2012, both felt a spark. By the end of the trip, it was impossible to deny that the two had feelings for each other, and after a few weeks of long-distance dating, Yubeth made the move to New York and the pair were inseparable ever since. So it’s no surprise that Yubeth happily said yes when Dennis popped the question in September of 2013 while on vacation in the Maldives.
The future bride and groom knew exactly what they wanted their June 7, 2014, nuptials to look like: both Yubeth and Dennis felt strongly about hosting a simple and elegant ceremony and reception where they would be surrounded by just their nearest and dearest. So the two decided on a destination wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and invited 90 guests to join them for a mountain wedding at the base of the Grand Tetons. With the help of Laura Leonard of Lyndsey Hamilton Events, a classic wedding with the perfect hints of rustic glamour came together, and Laura Kleinhenz of Docuvitae captured every stunning moment.

Ceci New York designed an elegant wedding invitation that included touches of gold foil and a whimsical Jackson Hole sketch, perfect for welcoming guests to the mountain retreat. Yubeth and Dennis also gave their guests a welcome bag packed with goodies, like locale Jackson Hole Dust Cutter Huckleberry Lemonade, energy bars, tequila, chocolates, and personalized handkerchiefs.
Yubeth stunned in figure-flattering lace gown designed by Inbal Dror, which she purchased at New York City bridal salon Mark Ingram Atelier. “After trying on many dresses, I realized that lace was the material that I preferred the most and felt like the best match for our location,” she says. “Once I put this one on, it felt so liberating but also very elegant and very ‘bridal.’ I love the v-neckline, the top detailing, the ribbons on the shoulders, and the way they hang in the back. It’s a very special and unique dress.”
She accessorized with a pair of lace Valentino heels and diamond earrings that Dennis had custom-made for his bride-to-be by the same jewelry designer that designer Yubeth’s engagement ring. Her classic updo was adorned with fresh white roses, and she carried a mostly-white bouquet of roses and greenery.

The groom wore a bespoke peak lapel tuxedo from Turnbull & Asser, and finished his look with a sleek bowtie floral boutonniere.
Yubeth and Dennis decided to hold their ceremony at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart located in Grand Teton National Park in Jackson, Wyoming. “A chapel in the woods literally at the base of the Grand Tetons just felt like the perfect setting for the simple and elegant ceremony Dennis and I both wanted,” the bride says. “Although it’s over 80 years old, the chapel was renovated about ten years ago. It’s still a very rustic and charming space.”
To soften the wooden interior, the couple added dozens of candles and lush arrangements of white blooms and greenery.
Yubeth’s brother, Irving, walked her down the aisle. The bride and groom chose to follow traditional Catholic wedding vows, but personalized the ceremony by selecting readings that resonated most with their story.
The couple chose Amangani in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for their reception venue. “When Dennis and I first met he invited me to Jackson to get to know him better. It was a lunch on the terrace of Amangani where the true beauty of the area really struck me and I began to understand why he was so drawn to this place,” the bride says. “It felt like the perfect place to celebrate our marriage.” Although it’s almost an hour from the chapel, the gorgeous scenery made the drive entirely worth it.
As a nod to the bride’s Mexican heritage, Yubeth and Dennis hired a mariachi band to perform during cocktail hour. “They looked fabulous standing around the pool with the mountains off in the distance,” the bride says. “It was probably the most photographed scene from the whole wedding and their music was fantastic.” As they enjoyed the music, guests nibbled on charcuterie, scallops, goat cheese fritters, and sweet onion tarts and sipped the couple’s signature cocktail, the Caliente. Yubeth and Dennis created a habanero-infused tequila and huckleberry concoction for their friends and family to drink. “Huckleberries are a local favorite in Jackson Hole,” the bride says.
Everyone then moved inside for a formal dinner reception. The couple had a look in mind for their escort cards, and it took Yubeth quite some time to find the right elements to bring their idea to life. Simple calligraphed cards were wrapped in a lace handkerchief for a simple yet romantic escort card display. “It took forever for me to find those handkerchiefs online!” Yubeth says.
Once inside the reception room, guests were treated to a flower-filled space with the perfect mix of elegant and rustic décor. “I wanted to keep it simple but elegant, with an ethereal feeling,” Yubeth says of the space. “We used candles around the room to create a cozy and intimate ambiance.” Tables were dressed in patterned linens and decorated with low floral centerpieces comprised of roses, peonies, cosmos, heuchera, Queen Anne’s lace, and greenery. To tie in the beauty of the outdoors, Aspen trees decorated with hanging candles were placed throughout the room.

After a three-course dinner, which included an heirloom beet salad, braised bison short ribs, slow-roasted salmon, and chocolate covered strawberries, the couple cut into their three-tier wedding cake. Beneath layers of white fondant and edible flowers, layers of chocolate cake with Bailey’s espresso buttercream and buttermilk spice cake with Kahlua brown sugar buttercream were waiting to be enjoyed.

“Don’t stress out on the day of your wedding,” the bride says. “Just try and enjoy as much as you can. Time passes so quickly and you don’t want to miss any of the details.”
