We may no longer have Brangelina, but gosh darn it, we will ALWAYS have George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin to look to for our #MarriageGoals. With the esteemed human rights attorney’s courthouse prowess and the actor’s movie star status, these two are basically royalty without the fancy title. And we’re celebrating the second anniversary of the day that the undisputed king of Hollywood married his queen with a look back on their whirlwind romance with our latest BRIDES video.

Can we third wheel this relationship, please? Probably not, right? Well, even though this video will most likely be as close as we’ll get to George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin (now Mrs. Clooney!), we’re a-okay with it. After all, who doesn’t want to see a slew of photos of these two cuties? (Do those people even exist?!)

Take a romantic walk down memory lane with this collection of the magical moments that make up the Clooneys’ love story. We’re throwing it way back to September 2013 when the Money Monster star first met the international barrister. It must have been love at first sight (it exists, okay!), because only six months later, the perfect pair was engaged, after a slightly fumbled proposal from George. During a romantic at-home dinner, Clooney instructed his about-to-be-fiancé to light a candle with a box of matches that contained a sparkly surprise. “She reaches around, pulls out the box, and I’ve got just the ring sitting in there,” said Clooney. “She pulls it out and she looks at it and she’s like, ‘It’s a ring’ — like as if somebody had left it there some other time!” But, of course, his bride eventually said yes — to a seven-carat emerald-cut engagement ring that still has us starry-eyed.

The next major chapter in their love story? A lavish and luxe wedding in Venice, Italy. How’s that for a dreamy “I do” destination? In September of 2014, Alamuddin — in a now-famous Oscar de la Renta-designed lace wedding dress — wed the smitten movie star at the Aman Canal Grande Hotel, as 100 of their nearest and dearest (included John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, Bono, Anna Wintour, and Bill Murray) looked on. Two years later, we’re just now getting over not scoring an invite…

Watch the rest of the Clooneys’ happily-ever-after above! These two are a fairytale-worthy couple if we’ve ever saw one. (Who said a storybook dame couldn’t fight for human rights on the side?)
